After breakfast we spent the morning rinsing out a couple things by hand since the washing machine is inoperable. At least most things got done yesterday and released from their washer prison! We’ve packed and we will make out perilous journey down the narrow flights of stairs with our luggage then walk to nearby via Laietana at Plaça Maura for a taxi ride to Port Vell. We never did determine what berth it was but hopefully the taxi driver will know and we can also see for ourselves when we get closer.
We did have a lovely time here in Barcelona, capital for the 7.5 Catalan million people. There is so much to see and do one could spend a few weeks here to take it all in. Even with a week we only scratched the surface. It is nice to just "be" here, walk the streets, listen to street entertainers, watch the people, have a bite to eat and sip sangria amongst the ancient structures. I have to say the Sardana was a highlight for me, for John is was strolling La Ramblas.
But now we are off for the next chapter of this adventure, aboard the Brilliance of the Seas. Our Balcony: Here you can see cabin 7014, our abode for the next 18 days. If you can see it in this small photo, it is the first balcony cabin past the three port hole windows, port side, deck 7 forward. Bring it on!
